David Crawford, an orthopedic surgeon from Columbus, Ohio, specializes in adult hip and knee replacement surgery, arthroscopic knee preservation surgery, anterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement surgery, and military medicine. He is also a well-respected author of book chapters and articles published in peer-reviewed journals, and one of the most reliable presenters of orthopedic research in national conventions.

His practice is among the few in Central Ohio that offers arthroscopic knee preservation surgery, which is typically performed to repair labral tears, as well as to correct abnormal hip shapes. His specialized training in anterior hip replacement and partial knee replacement surgery allows for faster recovery time for his patients, so they can have these procedures done on an outpatient basis.

Dr. Crawford has many awards for his military service, including the Army Excellence Medal several times in different years. He also received awards for his deployment in Afghanistan in 2013, where he provided orthopedic care to US troops and their allies. Following residency, Dr. Crawford continued his military service at Ft. Campbell, Ky where amongst other duties he served as Orthopedic clinic chief. He also had the privilege of being the Orthopedic surgeon to the Army’s elite 5th Special Forces group and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR).
